How etchical and effective is it to balance test a mod by it's subscirbers?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I'm wandering if it's ever a good strategy to publish a character mod without an in-depth balance test?

I'm in college, I don't have enough time to make a full early-, mid- and endgame balance test for my character (covering every possible exploit opportunities). My idea is, if I publish my mod in a theory balanced way, the many people subscribed to it will be able to give a more efficient balance feedback - compared it if I test it alone.

My only concern is, Steam comments are not very well known for their constructive feedbacks (there are some surprising exceptions though).

What do you think about this?
