AkaiNight
Hello i am making a character for dst and im almost done with coding and now i found someone to help me to draw my character. We both don't know what to do so we decided to use esctemplate as base and change parts from it. It went good till we try to make hair for character. Well its better to show. In spriter i changed the positions of pigtails and it looks like this https://hizliresim.com/RB9hd0 but it looks like this in game https://hizliresim.com/iNHQv5 https://hizliresim.com/D5qRkA https://hizliresim.com/ziRQwf i don't know how to fix this. Thanks for help Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/122291-making-a-character-with-esctemplatespriter-issues/ Share on other sites
Yakuzashi
General advice about Spriter: if you need to change placement of any element it's better to movie image inside of. png. I lack knowledge about Spriter so that's all I can do. I hope someone experienced will see this topic and help you. Cheers! 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/122291-making-a-character-with-esctemplatespriter-issues/#findComment-1377891 Share on other sites
IronHunter
The key thing about spriter is the pivot points for your images, generally this issue comes from having image dimensions different from the template's packaged ones. I recommend you set new pivot points for your pigtails, the positions of the symbols you make will be dictated by their pivots in relation to the stock animations in the game. What you are making is a character build, as such any animations you make in the template won't be used at all by default. It can take some trial and error to make it look right in game. Edit: It seems you are trying to make a ponytail using the pigtails, its not possible to shift a pivot for a animation in the game without overriding all existing animations manually a monumental task. As such the position for the ponytails in the game is pretty much hardcoded, so you might have a more difficult time positioning it too look nice.
