Mentrallbo
My first post so excuse my lack of etiquette but... Is there any way to change the save file location? I have moved my game to my ssd to speed it up, and it didnt help the loading screens or save time at all because its still all done in the klei folder on my hdd, and I cannot find an option to change the save directory to a new location. Does anyone know how to do this? Surely it can be done, otherwise this is a huge oversight on Klei's part, considering how intensive the saves and loading screens are. Thanks in advance boyz
KittenIsAGeek
Move the save games folder to your SSD, then drag a shortcut from the SSD back to where it was on the other drive. The game will follow the shortcut and save in the folder on the SSD. That said.. the save files aren't big. The bottle neck isn't writing to the disk; the bottle neck is moving it into and out of RAM. I did not notice much improvement by putting my saves on my SSD. I mean, it DID help, just not as much as I had hoped.

abud
Windows? You can try to change your entire user directory to your ssd.
