Rail shipments from right or left to down not handled the same

When shipping items there's a difference between items coming from the left or right before going down. Reference below: 

In both squares the items are going down. 

When items come from the left and go down, they follow up on one another very close, as if they're moving to the left or right. 

When items come from the right and go down, they following items wait until the previous item has cleared the intersection, causing unnecessary delays and spaces between the items. 

Proposed solution:

- Items from any side going to any side should be handled the same

Doesn't seem like it's the direction, merely having a rail split, if any path is full, the max throughput gets halved. Your left square isn't going through any intersections, so it doesn't get affected.
