I wrote "If you want to butchering critters without pokeshell, this system is redundant."

Required minimum size is 4 width tiles by 5 height tiles. (The left thin chamber)

I think this is most thin kill room.

It is not my idea.
original video is here

nina's hack is "Multilayer liquid airlock can avoid flooding buildings"

I would introduce modified version, to more critter types.

  • Metal tile is not required. Instead metal tile of obsidian tile, or diamond window tile.
  • I recommend to build the leftmost door by steel. It'll be available ShoveVole
  • Set lowest priority to rightmost critter drop-off

How to make multilayer liquid

  1. Pour liquids in order of weight (e.g. brine, salt water, water)
  2. Cap ceiling tile
  3. Build wall from bottom to top
  4. Pump flooded liquid

Just as a sideways note- I think Tony A did a 4x4 automated critter kill room- it wasn't perfect as it took up floor space and intruded on the room you kept the critters in, but it was simple and elegant and he's totally right that we usually over-complicate something that doesn't need to be complex.
