omgbarbeque
Hi, Need some assistance on this. Recently my game started Freezing whenever I try to load an old save, either from Main Menu or whilst in game same issue. However, Resume Game works normally. I think this started recently after I deleted some older saves. Anyone experience similar issues, and any known fixes? Developer klei.ruby Posted January 22, 2020 Developer Share Posted January 22, 2020 If you can grab the log file (details here on where it is) and post it, as well as attach your save, we can take a look at why it's not loading. Thanks! Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/115160-game-freeze-on-click-load-save/#findComment-1300963 Share on other sites
omgbarbeque
OK, have uploaded the DxDiag and output log and the most recent save file. However, I'm having trouble when I click 'Load Save', and the game freezes. This is before I can select which save file to load DxDiag.txt output_log.txt Cold Stone Creamery.sav Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/115160-game-freeze-on-click-load-save/#findComment-1301069 Share on other sites
Developer klei.ruby Posted January 24, 2020 Developer Share Posted January 24, 2020 If you don't mind, can you try click 'Load Game', let it freeze, and then go back to windows and grab the output log while it's stuck there? That might tell us more detail. Thanks! omgbarbeque
Hi Support, Seems I've resolved this by deleting all other saves from my User > Klei folder. I recall this issue started when I began deleting ONI saves in-game Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/115160-game-freeze-on-click-load-save/#findComment-1302598 Share on other sites

I'm using mods so maybe that's the problem. Immediately before this last freeze I also saw a bunch of red code flashing over the screen. I grabbed the output file while the game was frozen. It's 487 MB so I had to zip it. Hope it helps. Developer klei.ruby Posted January 29, 2020 Developer Share Posted January 29, 2020 Hi @Milliways thanks for the info. The good news is, it appears your issue is the same as one we've already fixed on our end. A hotfix has just gone out on the testing branch which addresses it. Milliways
Oh I see. Yeah that seems to have fixed it. Thanks! With 2266 hours in I can safely say that this is my favorite game of all time. So thank you for that too. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/115160-game-freeze-on-click-load-save/#findComment-1302850 Share on other sites
