hozzer Posted December 5, 2019 Share Posted December 5, 2019 I have a steam vent and a cool steam vent in close proximity to one another. My current plan is to pump all of the steam into one chamber and treat it as a single mass. The cool steam vent is putting out an average of 1.28 kg/s and the steam vent is 0.5 kg/s, giving me a total of 1.78 kg/s at around 222 C. My current thought is to put a single turbine on top with 4 ports open and call it a day. The steam pressure will build up very slightly over time but I figure that will only serve to smooth out the temperature fluctuations. Is it easy enough to marry these two vents or would I be better off taming them seperately? In other news, I am liking this play through so far. 1 copper volcano, 1 gold, 1 normal, 3 hydrogen vents, 2 Nat Gas, 1 cool slush, 2 cool steam, 1 steam. When one stops and the other goes, you're going to get wild temperature fluctuations, possibly stopping the turbine due to low temperature. You might need to use a split turbine design to make sure one port is always > 125 C.
