How to recover from scalding?

One of my dupes was incredibly stupid.  He was building and stood touching scalding materials while doing.  He could have moved one or two tiles and not be affected but nope... he just stood there until I gave him a move-to command.  Hurray for pointless micromanagement!  :mad:

But the more vexing problem is that now he has severe wounds and is neither going to the hospital nor is he auto-recovering.  Also the game is giving no information on what to do, and googling yielded nothing.

BTW, there  is a Sick Bay at the hospital with medical packs waiting, curative tablets in the fridge, and the only hospital building I can't use is the Disease Clinic because it requires a Serum Vial that I don't have (requires Sun Nymph eggs to make and there are no nymphs nor their eggs anywhere in my map).

Short of reloading a previous save... what options do I have?

Thank you, that seems to be working.  Dr showed up and although he is still on the triage cot he does seem to slowly be getting better.

I am surprised that the game does not alert you to the steps to take or even that there is a dupe in need of medical care.  Had I not seen it getting scalded he would have just stayed injured.

You should get an alert of them getting scalded.  At least, I have in my recent colony.  Normally I just click on my triage cots now and then to see if anyone is injured from anything (heat, critters, etc).  There is a mod that makes injured dupes go to the triage cot automatically but yeah, for some reason the triage cot doesn't seem to automatically call injured dupes.
