[MOD REQUEST] High Pressure Transport Mod

Recommended Posts

High Pressure Transport Mod:
Just like Power has multiple tiers, have an extra pipe tier for liquids and gasses.
Since Power has 1 kW, 2 kW and 20 kW.
So I view the gas and liquid pipes equivalent to the 2kW wires, so I suggest the new tier has default (but configurable) values of 100 kg for liquid and 10 kg for gas high pressure pipes.

Required functionality:

  • Configurable values in config file (as some like overpowered settings and others like it more "realisticly")
  • Standard High Pressure Liquid Pipe (not possible to put inside walls and floor tiles)
  • Standard High Pressure Gas Pipe (not possible to put inside walls and floor tiles)
  • Insulated High Pressure Liquid Pipe (not possible to put inside walls and floor tiles)
  • Insulated High Pressure Gas Pipe (not possible to put inside walls and floor tiles)
  • Radiant High Pressure Liquid Pipe (not possible to put inside walls and floor tiles)
  • Radiant High Pressure Gas Pipe (not possible to put inside walls and floor tiles)
  • High Pressure Liquid Joint Plate (for passthrough functionality for walls and floor tiles)
  • High Pressure Gas Joint Plate (for passthrough functionality for walls and floor tiles)
  • High Pressure Liquid Bridge (can cross other high pressure liquid pipes, but cannot be put inside walls and floor tiles)
  • High Pressure Gas Bridge (can cross other high pressure liquid pipes, but cannot be put inside walls and floor tiles)
  • High Pressure Liquid Valve (Limit flow)
  • High Pressure Gas Valve (Limit Flow)
  • High Pressure Liquid Shutoff Valve (Automation)
  • High Pressure Gas Shutoff Valve (Automation)
  • High to Regular Pressure Liquid Valve (Powerless converter from High Pressure to Standard Pressure Liquid pipes with a built in standard valve)
  • High to Regular Pressure Gas Valve (Powerless converter from High Pressure to Standard Pressure Gas pipes with a built in standard valve)
  • High to Regular Pressure Liquid Shutoff Valve (Powerless converter from High Pressure to Standard Pressure Liquid pipes with a built in automated shutoff valve)
  • High to Regular Pressure Gas Shutoff Valve (Powerless converter from High Pressure to Standard Pressure Gas pipes with a built in automated shutoff valve)
  • High Pressure Liquid Pump: High Volume Pump with standard 0.75 * Ratio between high pressure and regular pressure Liquid Pipe of power usage (configurable please, including power usage and range)
  • High Pressure Gas Pump: High Volume Pump with standard 0.75 * Ratio between high pressure and regular pressure Liquid Pipe of power usage (configurable please, including power usage and range)

Optional:

  • Extra Bridges and Joint Plates that can span 2 full tiles instead of 1 tiles.
  • Low to High Pressure Converter Pumps (think power transformers but in the other direction), accumulate a percentage of the max amount allowed in the pipe. Uses the same power as a standard pump.
E.g. standard set 0%; at 10% would mean 10 kg of liquid needs to be gathered in the converter pump before it is put onto the high pressure pipe. User can set between 0 - 100%: 0 means immediately transfered. 100% means a full packet needs to accumulate.
  • High Pressure Liquid and Gas Reservoirs (Hold capacity at ratio of high/low pressure, configurable please). These are storage tanks, so no multi in or outputs (think high pressure needs less points of failure). Automated treshold signal when filled to certain capacity would be nice however!
  • Filter and sensors (element, pressure, thermo and germs) for automation.

Material Costs:
Preferable identical to standard items at the ratio of (high / low capacity) * 75% + 20% steel + 5% plastic. (Percentages configurable)
Standard decor values could be -20 (Configurable)

Research:
I recommend to put it in the research tree a level after the improved versions, call them advanced liquid transport (Tier 4) and advanced gas transport (Tier 5).

Remarks:
Since these are high pressure pipes I do not feel duplicants should be able to empty them.
