Tam o'Shanter drop rate?

forgoing the winter update livestream (with Riptidepow) I suppose I went under the impression that Mactusk dropped his Tam o'shanter with each successfull kill... however after killing one of these specimen for myself, I can conclude this is not the case (which is more than fine... as the Tam o'shanter is a very OP hat )

So does anybody know the official drop %?

(###Spontanious fun fact - much like pigs, if left idle, Mactusk and son will begin occasionally dancing [this can be observed if they for no reason in perticular stand and stare at you before deciding to attack you - or decide to party at your campfire ] ...the hounds do not dance... )

In any case... I suppose I must now build a pig city close to my walrus city (comprising of 3 igloo's in very close proximity) to start farming for a 'shanter then
