Nico Belang
Mullematsch
Hi all, here is some screen shot of my cooling system of minor robots to regolith for the surface of my asteroid. I developed it from a cold polluted water geyser during my game on QOL Upgrade MK1: Step 1: The bunker doors open, the regolith falls Step 2: The doors that support the minor robots close and the cold polluted water begins to flow Step 3: Robots undermine the regolith and heat while the tanks formed by the doors fill up Step 4: After a delay defined by the automation, the doors open and drop the cold polluted water on the robots that instantly lose the accumulated heat The only disadvantage of this set up is that polluted water is used in large quantities and totally lost. By cons, cooling level, it works perfectly! I built the steel robots to maximize heat exchange and set the water supply to consume a minimum while cooling optimally. Hoping that it will be useful to you, I wish you a good game to all! Gus Smedstad
The loss of polluted water's pretty significant. I've seen builds which use just a trickle to get the same effect. Personally I like to use a drop of petroleum for heat exchange, drywall to keep that drop from getting lost to space, and radiant pipes for a heat exchange loop. No material losses.
