Help for a new modder

Hi I'm new to the forums and modding in general.

Now with that being said can anyone point me in the right direction of where i can find the programs and tools for me to start off with? If you can thats would be great.

Hello and welcome to the world of modding

Here is a newcomer post I compiled. It has various links to the many helpful threads with compilations of tutorials on the forum, and some tips on how to ease you into modding. Notepad++ is a great text editor, and for working with textures any image editor will do (I use the free GIMP program) in combination with TEXtool which you can find if you look at the FAQ and tutorials links.

I would recommend Atom myself, its like sublime but imo more organized and its what I use, but notepad++ will do the job
