Buildings that should be build out of different materials

Some of the materials for buildings feel like placeholders. Like the telescope uses raw ore. Where is the glass? It`s an advanced building after all. It should use at least refined metal and glass. Same for the interstellar research station. It looks like made out of glass but also uses raw ore. Advanced things like this should use refined metals.

Another thing are the mechanized airlock. It uses the same material the manual one does but more. Instead it should use refined metal. This way progression would be smoother and instead of jumping straight to mechanized airlocks we would use manual ones for a while. Refined metal is available pretty early (after brute force refinement) and mechanized airlocks are a tier later so it`s not so unreasonable.

The fire pole is under "refined objects" research but uses raw ore. Makes it kinda awkward but i guess you don`t want to sink all your refined metal into fire poles so it makes sense balance wise.

On a sidenote i should have named the thread "what buildings should use refined metals instead of raw ore?"
