Epishade Posted February 23, 2019 Share Posted February 23, 2019 Many times early game, when I don't have a good food-storage setup going just yet and food is precious (at least on the harder food settings), it's quite annoying to see my liceloaf has spoiled because my dupes have just been eating any sort of food at random. It would be nice to prioritize them eating close to rotten food first, and then working their way closer to fresh. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sasza22 Posted February 24, 2019 Share Posted February 24, 2019 Dupes seem to prioritize food based on their morale. If their morale is low they eat better food, if not they eat the worst quality. Actually if stale had a quality debuff it would make low expectation dupes eat it first but if all have low morale none would touch it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
avilmask Posted February 25, 2019 Share Posted February 25, 2019 Hm, I've been noticing that dupes often show their "yak" face even if I have fresh top quality food, so I assumed that they prioritize stale food over fresh one.
