Toppac Posted February 25, 2013 Share Posted February 25, 2013 Hi , I'm Toppac I would like to suggest something new for the game Don't starve and I think it would be awesome if you listen to what I have xP , my Idea is that I think you should add a new animal to the game which is " Skunk " yup "Skunk " with it's powerful smell of course and you'll be able to kill the skunk and save it's smell and use like just the same was as the " bee Mine " but instead it would be a " stink mine " which will be able to kill insects and will make the dangerous and powerful monsters to fall asleep or "faint " .... just to give enough time to run away I would love to see this idea in your next Update ...hope to hear from you soon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This could be used to escape some big bads and eat some much needed food. Placing these at choke points could be very useful. You would be able to enter the smelly area but it would be at the cost of sanity, unless you are wearing Nose-plugs. Based on your suggestion I assume that, when killed, it would drop a stink gland? What about a meat morsel too? And, if it's ever implemented, a small hide/pelt....with it's powerful smell of course and you'll be able to kill the skunk and save it's smell and use like just the same was as the " bee Mine " but instead it would be a " stink mine "Well we do already have a Bee Mine, do we need another one-shot mine? Albeit it does do something different than just causing damage....which will be able to kill insects and will make the dangerous and powerful monsters to fall asleep or "faint " .... just to give enough time to run away I would love to see this idea in your next Update ...hope to hear from you soon By insects, do you mean bees (i.e. killer bees)? If so, what about friendly bees trying to collect honey for your bee boxes? And also, how would a bee trigger a landmine? I would debate whether it would affect the Krampus too... as in another thread where we discuss revamping him this could be seen as a way to escape/avoid him fairly easily. Unless the Krampus could teleport (past the stink cloud and to the player).I agree about it costing the player Sanity should they walk through the stink cloud and I think nose plugs or a clothes pin should do the trick.
