Walter is intended to fit fully in the normal DS world, and the work needed to do this has been done well.

Walter is intended to take control of all base operations, his ability to reliably create a constant stream of food during winter is invaluble.

Walters low hunger makes it so he can very easily regen his hunger, saving food for more hungry allies.

A good partner for walter is Wolfgang, as he can take advantage of Walters requirement for little food consumption.
