Decorations,background walls...

Is there going to be background walls so we can decorate the rooms of our duplicants? Something like Terraria, where for it to be a room it need to have background walls. Another question is if there is going to be another type of walls? maybe filtration walls: Where liquids or gasses can go through the walls and the dublicants can walk on them.

Another thing that can be added is specific rooms, Maybe Cushioned walls for treating Mental Breakdown duplicants(#RememberNeil). Or Living rooms where you can make your hard working duplicants rest by sitting on a good couch and watching TV

As far as I know, devs did try in pre-alpha stages and found that it makes it hard to distinguish different gases - which is rather important for the gameplay. So for now it's dropped. You can tile your walls with masterpieces and build sculptures, that kind of counts as wall art.

These exist in the form of gas permeable and mesh tiles, do some research and dig some metal to be able to build them.
