GoreMotel Posted August 2, 2015 Share Posted August 2, 2015 Hi! I'm running a dedicated server for Don't Starve Together, called Let's Starve Together. It's set to Endless mode and it runs 24/7 (almost - I sometimes turn it off for 30-60 minutes to check the server, do updates and stuff like that - usually on weekends) and doesn't pause when empty. PVP is turned off. The server doesn't have a password set and is open to everyone. The server runs on a dedicated server in Paris, France and has 10 slots available for now. European players should have good pings. The following mods are installed at the moment (I am looking for suggestions on what other mods would make the server better):- Welcome Message- Global Positions- No More Respawn Penalty- Fix Multiplayer- Server Stats To connect, search for StarveTogether.com in the server browser; if you prefer to use the console:c_connect("195.154.156.218")The server has a website with more info: StarveTogether.com, including a Stats page where you can see some details about the game and connected players. Your server haven't a lot of mod and that's why I like it. Please don't change that, especialy to make the game easier (infinite tent use, custom cheated items, custom characters with shiny look, double life, glowing... ) Just one suggestion : Is No More Respawn Penalty really necessary ? I mean, people have to pay attention to their life, it's the biggest part of don't starve (booster shot is not that hard to craft). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GoreMotel Posted August 5, 2015 Author Share Posted August 5, 2015 I personally think it's a nice quality of life mod, especially on Endless, but if more people think that I should remove it, then I will. I am not trying to make the game easy, but do keep in mind that this won't ever be a super-hardcore survival server. The main goal is for players to have a fun experience. I've had two people tell me that they'd like to see No More Respawn Penalty disabled, what do the rest of you think? Does it make the game too easy? What about the infinite tent uses mod? Cheers! I'm not so sure about Picky, it hasn't been updated since January and I can't figure out if it actually is a server-side mod. Some players told me they had a hard time finding gears, so I added the Craftable Gears mod. You can now craft a gear using 3 pieces of Flint and 2 Electrical Doodads from the Refine tab.
