KryptoHD Posted September 15, 2014 Share Posted September 15, 2014 I know most of you are probably sick of seeing requests for new characters ( or so I would assume you are! ) But yes.... this is another; Ok so hey guys, I am well... not really new here, I am a lurker! I have only just created an account very recently and well... yes, this is my first post and yes... it is a request. So simply some background; awaiting the upcomming "Don't Starve Together" me and a friend (or 2 - 3) are wanting to create custom characters to use (assuming it allows us to do so! if not, they will still be super dashing in single player) now we all have come up with ideas to somewhat compliment eachother although I simply do not have the time to create one myself - as well, I know basically nothing to do with lua (although it does look pretty simple) and my friend although a pretty good artist in my opinion (and her own) is unsure as to what to do. And so I thought I would come here to see if someone out there is willing to help create one of the 2-4 characters for us in which then we can examine closley and edit at will to make the others (it will also help with her art being able to see where everything goes using one of the designs created by her). So simply, we do have a base design created for the character although this is only a design and it needs to be reworked correctly to work proper, and it is what we would like it to look like so you do not have to go through a bunch of questions wanting to know what it is to look like, stats etc. can be agreed upon no worries if someone is willing to do the task I will also be wanting to put in a bunch of custom quotes for my character (and the others in which I and my friend will be creating if we can get a base example one off of our idea to go off of...) so as long as the positioning or file is pointed out well as to where these quotes would go that would be good, but for now some base information to see if you could possibly help with the character you might need... 1. His name is Willeh and he is a Scottish Beekeeper (somewhat obsessed with bees and honey etc.)2. He is Woodie's brother both of which where "test-tube babies" (this is our ideas and although won't match lore we still think will be great to use and we will be molding it ourself a bit)3. Has his own terrible secret similar to Woodie being he turns into a Bee Monster of somesort - a werebee lol. (not sure as to how this works currently and although it may be a bigger task hopeing people arnt thrown off) 4. Higher Health then Wilson, Higher HP, Lower Sanity and Lower Hunger ( unsure by what amount currently)5. Same speed as Wilson6. IF possible can ally bees to help him out ( or just when in the bee form they will help fight - possibly can look into Webber for help with this? - I do not own the expansion as a note)7. Bee Form gives higher attack (not too high), can move faster - although isnt flying as he is too big, bit more hunger and hp, sanity stays the same although once he turns back his sanity drops like crazy and goes dangerously low which can be horrible and must work with teammates to bring this up again asap. That is about it as of now, hopefully someone is interested to help me out, this will be for personal use and you will be credited FULLY Now this does seem like a huge amount and work and because of this if I see examples of previous work or whatnot I am willing to work out a price and pay you for your time. So to sum this up, I will be needing textures, anims, coding everything for this character and have base ideas and a sketch to go off of for the character and from this I will copy, paste etc. to create other characters I need and I will be doing quotes myself (please make it clear as to where I can find them and what quotes I need to enter ) Sorry for the long text, and hopefully someone is interested - if so and is fully up for the task willing to add on steam and talk through anymore details along with send picture / design of Willeh the Beekeeper. One final time - because of the huge amount of work, if examples are displayed I will be willing to pay - we can talk through prices later. Playing with character stats is very easy, and looking through the Webber prefab code and the spider prefab code should reveal how to implement friendly bees.
