[Question] Windows Dedicated Server Auto-Restart incase of Crash

I'm running a dedicated server with caves and mods, has anyone been able to find a program/script that can auto-restart the .bat file incase of crashes?

I currently have two start.bat and start2.bat files that I use, these are both of them;

  • dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer -console -cluster MyDediServer -shard Master
  • dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer -console -cluster MyDediServer -shard Caves

I've tried Knas Restarter but whenever the cmd prompt goes down or even the dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer it just can't restart it properly, it'll open the .bat file but close after a few seconds.

Well, if you're running it on windows, you can run it as a service.

There are plenty of options available for that, but the best one I've ever encountered with was FireDaemon (which is specifically made for game servers).

I haven't tested it for DST server though (it used to work perfectly with HLDS)

Give it a try and let me know.
