I run a dedicated server and facing the problem with users having pings up to 500.It results in having "BAD HOST" and hard lags for everyone. Someone know a PingLimiter or PingKick Mod/Script? Already tried to use the mod "Afraid of Lag" - but cant get it to work properly, also it seems in the description that it only drains sanity from the high ping player rather than kick them ___________ It would be great if there is a solution to avoid high ping players and have at the same time some safety against ping spikes on players that have good pings most of the time. Like: Players that have an average ping of +99 over the time of 90 seconds get kicked (and maybe warned before) Would be great if someone would step in - helping to solve this problem RFiD A.K.A -PiSA!- Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Michi01 Posted February 18, 2015 Share Posted February 18, 2015 @RFiDI'm not sure if the "bad host" status is caused by peoplewith high ping(I really don't know).Also a ping of 99+ is not very high and doesn't cause lags.The afraid of lag mod won't drain sanity of players with highping, it'll make them run away from monsters automaticallybecause it's difficult to run away with lags. As for the Pings, i also dont know what causing the lags for real.But what i know is, everytime I check the Stats when having the lags + "bad host" - there is everytime someone with high ping (+100) lurking around. it never happens when pings are lower than 80 -90sometimes it changes from "good host" to "ok host" but never to bad host under this conditions. RFiD Posted February 19, 2015 Author Share Posted February 19, 2015 Hey Bizziboi yeah already done a "TheSim:Profile()" yesterday but i deleted it.Will do a profile again and upload it here or in the main profiling thread. Also what i realised yesterday is - the problem also happens with only 2-3 players and great pings. I will upload the profile within the next 12h. Thx for your input!
