It seems to me that parental control settings of PS4 are not taken into account in Don't Starve Together Console Edition
So I have a child's account on my PS4 and when I try to start the game it says that due to age restriction online features are turned off (which is expected)
Then I go to Settings/Parental Control and disable them entirely on the console. In other games it allows child's account to use everything as an adult (which is risky, but expected) but in DST I still see the message about age restrictions.
I've tried other settings, both on PS4 and Parental Control for PSN on the web, and it seems that currently there is no way to avoid that limitation regardless of what settings are set in parental control of PS4/PSN account. It feels as if DST just checks the age of the user, instead of actually applying restrictions from PS4.
- Create child's account on PS4
- Disable age restriction on PS4 or disable Parental Control entirely
- Launch the game and try to connect online
