That is because they changed something with the "Networking?" during 263 update, and it messed up with the "Lag Compensation" setting.

This goes actually for every item you try to pick from its source. I already posted something similar with the Lazy Forager here:

If you want an easy fix; turn off the Lag Compensation, but your movement will be delayed which will be worse than being stuck from picking up.

It's a huge bug for me and splitscreen partner who already suffers huge lag despite being on the host console  I posted two weeks ago.
