Loading speeds 274 Update

I think they posted something about this. 274 reduced loading speeds, but there were stability issues that users were experiencing while playing split-screen. They rolled the update back until the issues could be sorted out. 

 

Exactly the above. There was some optimization work done that improved the loading times in 2.73. Unfortunately it also introduced a crash bug that was most pronounced in splits screen but could also occur in single player and so we had to revert the optimization for the time being in 2.74. The crash is being looked into and hopefully we'll be able to put the optimization back in the future.
