Friend indicator disapearing

Not sure this is a bug, probably a feature request, but i would like to be able to constantly know the direction of my friend.  It would be nice to be able to identify a person as your companion and have their directional indicator remain on your screen regardless of the distance they are from you.

Yep its not a bug and to be honest friend location indicator were always on, it would take away the realism of knowing exactly where you friend is without any 'line of sight'.. No fun in that
