Stress buffs/debuffs shared among duplicants with the same name

In my clone playthrough, I have noticed that my duplicants all share the same stress buffs/debuffs. See below screenshots of 3 of my clones: 1 is in my main base (forest asteroid) where there is floral scent and carpeted tiles, the others are on another asteroid (radioactive swamp) and in a rocket orbiting the frozen asteroid. All the other dupes in my colony share the exact same buffs/debuffs no matter where they are. There are no carpeted tiles and no floral scent anywhere else than in my main base and the dupes on the other asteroids or in space have been away from the main base for many cycles.

Even a "low morale" dupe will ignore its own low morale debuff and gain a "high morale" buff from the duplicant name it copies its buffs/debuffs from. They do not share the same morale modifier though.

I have renamed one of the "Nadja" to "Leira" and her stress buffs/debuffs reset to 0 while the others still shared the same buffs. Then I renamed "Leira" to "Nadja" and she again got the shared buffs from the other clones.

I have tested renaming different "base duplicants" to the same name to see if this is name related only and it looks like it is. I have renamed a "Mi-Ma" and a "Joshua" to "Stinky" and they both instantly copied Stinky's stress buffs/debuffs.

So, if one of your duplicant is very  stressed, you can either change its name to a new name to reset it to 0% or change its name to a happy duplicant name to instantly copy its good stress buffs/debuffs, which feels like it could be exploited...

Steps to Reproduce

- Rename a duplicant to the same name as another duplicant in your colony.

- The renamed duplicant will instantly inherit the other duplicant's stress buffs/debuffs.

- If you change its name back to its original name, it gets its old stress buffs/debuffs (before the 1st time you renamed it). It somewhat gets stored in memory? I am not sure what happens there.

- If you change its name to something completely different, e.g., "Bob", its stress buffs/debuffs will reset to 0% and start accumulating again. This creates a new dupe name and is now part of the rotation and it will stay in memory... (this can be repeated again to yet another name to create a new duplicant name with its own memorized stress buffs/debuffs value).

- Since stress buffs/debuffs reset every cycle, the stored buffs/debuffs from renaming dupes also probably resets every cycle. This would explain why I got 0% when I renamed a Nadja to Leira, because I hadn't had a new Leira in my colony during the cycle those tests were done.

User Feedback

The actual moral and buffs/debuffs don't seem to change (the upper status windows still show correct stats), only the "today's stress" window stays the same when changing the name of the dupe, so I would think it is only a visual glitch..? (I didn't test what happens in high stress situations though)

Even so... What kind of sorcery is that?!!! :-o:shock:

It also survives save-reload  (at least I still saw it after save-reload... I don't know what happens when others load the save)

You might be onto something here - it might be a weird visual bug. I have sent one of them on the asteroid (she has low morale) and now her stress is increasing. She also shows both low morale and high morale in her "Today's stress". The total obviously cannot be trusted, her stress should not be increasing with the net -16.35%, but it is...

I think "today's stress" lies after renaming. Hovering over other status, shows correct values of current dupe.
