Regolith Asteroid won't remove gases from space

Mentokra
  • Branch: Live Branch Version: Windows Fixed

Started this save in 481350.

The gases won't clear in space at the regolith asteroid, only very slowly, like 5 kg / cycle. Currently there is 250+ kg CO2 in the space area, everywhere. Strangely liquids cleared as normal.

Steps to Reproduce

Load the file

switch to dev mode

spawn duplicants on the asteroid

Admire the thick Co2 atmosphere, that won't clear

User Feedback

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

It should clear, but it will take a very long time. I've had the same thing on mine and I thought it was bugged out or something, but it cleared out eventually, after many, many cycles. I don't know what's up with space on that asteroid, but it seems like it takes forever to clear out all the accumulated CO2 from meteor showers. I had 800kg of CO2 per tile:

A few cycles later, I still had 400kg per tile:

And later it cleared out:

Well, maybe you are right. It just seems so slow compared to how quickly liquids disappear.

The question is, is it normal that CO2 from meteors accumulate while the map isn't rendered/revealed up to probably thousands of kg of CO2 per tile given enough time (I had 800 kg/tile accumulated in 500cycles-ish)? If so, probably not a bug?

Changed Status to Fixed

New meteor shower events should no longer be spawned on asteroids that haven't yet been visited.
