Game does not start on PC (Steam)

Bought ONI first and played that for a few hours.  Then the next day, bought Spaced Out, however after installing the DLC, the game would not run.  It attempts to launch, but just fails, and the exe in Task Manager just disappears. 

Rebooted, Removed game files in Documents directory. verified Steam Game files.  Uninstalled, and reinstalled.  Made sure things were running as admin.  Nada.

Uninstalled the DLC (and only the DLC) and the base game runs fine. 

No logs that I can find.

System specs:

Win10, Surface Pro 6, i7, 16gb Ram.

My other desktop runs it fine.

 

Steps to Reproduce

Run from steam. Fails after a few moments, no splash screen or error window.

Since its been a month... ha e you tried deactivation of dlc...uninstall via steam, the revalidate files. Attempt launch - no launch, new problem.

Oddly, make sure your device isn't in tablet mode when attempting to launch.

Input devices? Keyboard, mouse?

Turn off on screen keyboard?

I have the same bug.

Only DLC does not run.
If you run the game except DLC, there is no problem.

When running 'exe' on Local File, 'MSVCP140.dll' and 'VCRUNTIME140.dll' are mentioned as missing.

Hello,

Can you try adding "--force-glcore" to the Launch Options in Steam (right click Oxygen Not Included -> Properties) and see if that fixes the crash.
