Crash on load

Gurgel
  • Branch: Preview Branch Version: Windows Fixed

I have a savegame that reliably crashes the game on load. The 4 saves made after that do the same. May be related to me building my first rocket in this colony. May also be related to me skill-scrubbing Ada, something I have never done in this colony before either. I am not sure whether I had already done that at cycle 1669 though. All saves after cycle 1669 crash on load as well.

Steps to Reproduce

Load attached game, see crash.

053 Cycle 1669.sav

User Feedback

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

My save also started crashing on load, at least the last few cycles of it. I have also recently been working on a rocket. Would be interested to hear if there's a fix.

Same problem, game crashes whenever I try to load one of my colonies (all of the autosaves crash without mods).

My first rocket wouldn't land after either setting a destination or clicking on the rocket platform "land here" button. I figured I would try reloading to see if that fixed the issue, but now I can't load any of my saves =/

Does anyone know how to "fix" a save file? Or is that colony just lost now?

It is probably the rocket. Did the skill-scrub again, no problems from that.

I went back to the last save that did not crash. Fortunately I lost only about 15 minutes. I think if you have no manual save and all autosaves crash, there is probably no fix. I do quite a bit of manual saving for that reason.

It would be nice to have some kind of recovery mechanism for "bad" save files, possibly losing some of the build
