[490154] Copy settings does not work correctly with mutated seeds.

  • Branch: Preview Branch Version: Windows Fixed

If you copy settings on a farm tile growing a mutated plant then paste those setting onto another farm tile it will not paste the setting properly if you do not have the required seeds in storage. If you have the required seeds, it works fine. If you do not it will plant the original variant.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Plant a mutated seed.

2. Have no additional seeds of that type.

3. Copy the setting of the mutated seed.

4. Paste onto an empty farm tile.

5. Will plant the original variant. (Expected behavior, plant a ghost of mutated seed.)

User Feedback

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Correction for point 5: it will plant some seed of the same type, which may be the original or a completely different mutated variant of the seed.

It doesn't even need to be the same variant for the whole copy block, you can copy an original seed and get mixes of original and all nearby mutants.

Pretty sure it's related to proximity, either seed to farm or seed to dupe.
