Wire overloading at limit, instead of above it

I built a steam turbine and figured that since it puts out 2kw, and conductive wire can handle 2 kw, it should be fine to run conductive wire out of the insulated turbine room and directly into a transformer to transfer the power to my main heavy watt wire and battery circuit.  The load on the conductive circuit can not exceed 2kw, so the wire should not overload, but it seems that it does overload whenever it hits the full 2 kw.  Looks like someone used a >= when they should have used a >.

Same thing for plant temperature.  I initially wrote it off as a rounding error since I chose English units (deg F) but now I wonder.
