Tricky move-to crash or the "babies of doom".

JRup
  • Branch: Live Branch Version: Linux Fixed

There doesn't seem to be an errand type made for the case where a baby critter is the target of the move-to command. (They can still be moved; just don't peek into the errand tab, lest the void peek back.)

This causes a somewhat unwieldy crash and not even copy to clipboard or quit button works:

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Issue move-to command on critter baby.
  2. Check the target location for the "move here" order and access its menu.
  3. Click on its "errands" tab.
  4. You may choose to wait or up the priority so the task gets assigned. Once it does...

Expected: Task gets assigned with its respective verbiage.

Observed: Game crashes when task gets assigned. Not graceful, can't copy additional info to clipboard. Program hangs, termination via OS required.

User Feedback

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

I'll risk it and say this issue is resolved in the current testing branch (U51-595164-V)... The move-to errand for baby critters appears to be fixed:

I haven't tested with other critters but the fact that the errand has been successfully assigned remains.

May the devs. update the status for this ticket at their own discretion.

Thank you.
