The Atmo Suit bug from 2019 has been resurrected.

More dups than certain atmo suit checkpoint can handle try to use the same checkpoint at the same time. When there are not enough suits the ones who didnt get a suit for that checkpoint just continue through the checkpoint without a suit and go die (they still do the putting on a suit animation, just no suit). Example: my base has 3 entrances with each having 8 atmo suits per checkpoint (for a total of 24 prepped atmo suits, 8 at each entrance). When my 12 day dups wake up in the morning, all 12 run to checkpoint 1, take all 8 suits and 4 of them go right out the checkpoint without any suits on leaving 2 other completely full checkpoints. It has made the game almost unplayable as each shift I have to just camp at my base entrance to catch anyone who doesnt have a suit and manually move them back into the base to go through the checkpoint again.


Steps to Reproduce

have a base with a centralized atmo dock system (dups suit up when leaving the main living quarters). Have 3 doors they can exit the living quarters each with a checkpoint and 8 docks at each checkpoints. have 18 total dups. 12 dupes on day shift, 6 dups on night shift. Day shift wakes up from bedtime and all try to leave the base at the same time. This bug occurs any time more than 2-3 dups try to go out the same exit at the same time. This bug only started after the latest QOL release.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

We fixed a bug in yesterday's hotfix which was likely one cause of this bug. It's possible the ongoing pathfinding issues we're investigating are also causing it. If you see this happen on 701625 or later please let us know.

I have been playing for the last couple hours (same game as here). The problem is still happening. I thought it was really funny earlier. As I was camping the door to my base I saw one of my 3 suits checkpoint I built to try to alleviate the frustration here with one suit left in it and only 1 suit had been there for almost half a cycle. 2 dups ran towards the checkpoint racing to get the one and only suit and one got it and the other went right out without one. I feel like this is related to them only checking the checkpoints once during their errand selection navigation and not rechecking it if another dup is already committed to the suit. I would love to see per -dock permissions like we have for mess tables so I could just assign each dup to a dock. Best I can do right now is set permissions on the door in front of the dock but this is still clunky.

I may have seen an instance of this 701625. It seems to be rare as I saw it only once, but yesterday I had an unsuited dupe in a walled-off area where the only way inside is via an exosuit station.

I take it the fix is still pending, right?
