When doing analysis on the "Unknown destinations", after one analysis is finished and another one is selected, the game won't sense it as a studyable destination until you reload it.

Build a telescope with the necessary materials needed, analyze the first carbon asteroid and then try to analyze the second one shortly after the first one is done.
