I had set up a sweeper in the mess hall to pick up any food dropped by dupes that get interrupted while eating
unfortunately the sweepers won't pick up any food left by the dupes.
and before some one asks "did you check the priority?" I'll say yes and even tested it by using ALT Q to move the food and only then would the sweepers pick it up

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
