Slimelung randomly spawned or spread without clear source. As the resources have shown, the slime doesn't appear yet meaning it is not discovered or dug up.
Another thing, even if I somehow dug a slime tile, it would still have no slimelung since it is next to steam that came from vent. Still I was very careful ensuring that each tile I dug was not slime and germ overlay show no nearby simelung both in gas and slime tiles.
Steps to Reproduce
There would be no helpful reproduction steps maybe other than digging the tiles around the ladder the same way I did in probable slimelung sources.
