I have a slickster ranch. It is filled with plenty of CO2 and my slicksters have plenty to eat. However only the larvae produce any crude oil. Once they become an adult, all crude oil production stops.
I believe that the first slickster I trapped produced some crude, but at some point (either the time he became tame, or after a load from a saved game) he stopped producing crude. I did notice that tiny baby slicksters were producing crude, but they stopped when they became adults.

Have a slickster ranch with tamed slicksters inside.
