Shove vole eat more that normal

Shove vole eat big chunks of regolith instead of 500kg/cycle. This is intended or is a bug?

In my example i have 21.2 tones of regolith

Here the shove vole eat it all

After the shove vole eat and create the pile of regolith the quantity is halved

This is a bug or is intended?

Steps to Reproduce
Feed piles of 20 tones to a hungry shove vole ( he didn't eat anything since the relocation)
Go to bugs

If his cal is 0 he will eat all until reach 48,000kcal if I remember correctly after that he will follow his daily cal consumption.
