Redecorate errands produce same quality of artwork.

Taking a 'crude' quality artwork and ordering a re-decorate by a higher skilled duplicant with masterworks still produces a crude artwork. In the example here, I had Meep redecorate the paintings and the sculpture and got the same results.  Decorating a completely new artwork, Meep produced a masterwork.

Steps to Reproduce

Make an artwork. Have a low skill duplicant decorate it. Increase their skill. Order redecorate on the artwork.

So uh, this annoyed to no end back in the day as well, and I wish klei made it clearer

Anyway, to achieve what you want, press the 🔄 button to the right of the "Redecorate" button. Your masterwork Meep should produce a masterwork piece of art then

Ah, got it. And I'm going to leave Meep's kindergarten art up anyway. 

 

Devs, please close this.

One final thought: The redecorate button should show all options for the art skills in the colony, not just the current level that it is.
