On any tile or object (from what I tried), if I first disable the autorepair and then click again to enable the autorepair, the tile or object need repair, even if its "health" was full and there wasn't any repair needed.
This happen even if the object or tile was never damaged once.
The amount of material needed for the repair vary for one object to another (I think it depends on the mass of the object itself).
Steps to Reproduce
-Select any tile or object -Click on "Disable Autorepair". -Click again on "Enable Autorepair" this time. -The tile or object now "need" to be repaired.
