As it says on the tin, tempshift plates made from insulation, transfer heat.
As it says on the tin, tempshift plates made from insulation, transfer heat. Steps to Reproduce Make a tempshift plate out of insulation.
Report reply TheHamez 2 Posted November 1, 2018 I found another bug but I didn't want to spam the forum with another thread for something so small. Double-clicking on the base header on the load game menu loads the save, but doesn't show the loading screen. To Reproduce: Double click on the base header on the load game menu (The bit with the asteroid picture). Share this comment
Report reply Coolthulhu 1293 Posted November 3, 2018 Well, of course they do transfer heat. That's their whole job. The heat transfer formula is the same regardless of materials. The bug here is that insulation heat conduction is shown as 0. Share this comment

The formula is the same, but the parameters are different based on the material used. Insulation is the only material used in the plate's construction, therefore, it should inherit all of its properties, including the 0 thermal conductivity. The fact that a material with 0 thermal conductivity can change at all is a problem in itself. Share this comment

It's still a bad idea to construct tempshift plates out of insulation, but it's not a bug that they change temperature. Share this comment
