I decided to stick a ration box in my hatchery with the intent of feeding them excess meal lice - I was having a hard time filling the box! When I did get it full, I noticed that they were munching down on the contents inside the ration box before I had a chance to even dump it out. They were eating 0.5kg at a time. I figured I was having a hard time because there were seven hatches hearing the dinner bell.
Not sure if this is a bug or an easter egg or if it's only happening with meal lice.
Steps to Reproduce
Set up a ration box with any food that a hatch might eat - meal lice, muckroot, etc. Have the hatches in the area, free of distraction and debris and observe. They don't go crazy on it, but they do eat out of it without it opening the same way a dupe opens it.
