game framerate abnormal

the framerate is limited to about 55 after i view the research tree, but return to normal(75 when paused) when i load the same save.

Steps to Reproduce

view the research tree, and the framerate is limited to 55(paused or not)

load the same save again will become normal (75 when paused )

what happens is that when open research menu first time it opens that but some loop continue running after closure , that causes for game drop down the fps

fps is kind off abnormal because off mouse too, when mouse is in game screen fps drop allot and when i move mouse to my second screen the fps riseim guessing there is some for loop what keeps running both for those , its similar like it was before in main menu what caused game freeze

i wanted track down the main cause off mouse but i no was able find yet, because that part code is soo messy

Nice but sadly there seems to be more than one cause.

Not just the research tree viewing.

Did some "testing" in new game (base game) uncovering about 10-15% of the map it already starts to tank the fps from 60 to 45~ 

After i uncover more than 50% framerate tanks to 30. Uncovering it all still stays within 30fps but additionally it gives slight stutter every few seconds. (Zoom or where i look doesn't matter)

No structures built , only 3 dupes and being idle , never opened the research tree.

On version before BOFA in same scenario i can safely uncover over 50% of the map and still have 60 fps. Uncovering 100% 50-60 fps~ fluctuation depending where i look and how zoomed out it is.

 

It's like the game punishes my PC a lot more than before for calculating something on the entire map. I'm no tech wiz but i really wish i could to something to help solve this once and for all. :(

yes i know there is more but thing is, they need start fix it from somewhere , then we can detect others as well

biggest ones are atm the research, mouse and when you select item to build

others are small but more you play higher the issue comes.

also game self seems have issue with empty map  because fps seems too low.

i know that empty unity project with one camera have over 2000 fps in my lappy

and when i make 5000 animation it drops to somewhere 50fps

but this game not have 5000 animation in empty map

even start menu in this game seems kind off low, 500/ 600 fps

Was a bit optimistic about recent hotfix for the performance.

But yea there was 0 difference for me after it. Barely 30 FPS on normal speed still in a farily small base that used to have 60~ fps.

30-40 fps after uncovering the map on new game normal speed
