that's not a bug, 146F is too cold to kill that many germs.  Try raising it past 170F

If it's  a function that's not a bug, then the bug is in telling me that I'm getting 65% dead/cycle.

and if you get it up to 170F you get 100% dead per cycle.  Remember food poisoning also multiples in PW so you'll have to consider that

# of germs: 6,700

Growing on polluted water: 4%

Dead/Cycle: 63% in 145.7F

Change rate: -11/s

Net: 59% ... but apparently not.  I'm gaining 2/germs per tic.

So, tell me how me seeing a -11/s, and a 59% reduction... needs to be considered somehow?  I'm perfectly happy with the water needing to get to 170.0F to actually kill disease, but it needs to either give me *no* information, or get me the *correct* information.

Not sure, this game is patched and updated so frequently that there's a lot of inconsistencies with the tooltips (even the wiki is unreliable)  I'm hoping that all gets fixed when the game becomes full released

Until then I rely on experience and the forums for up to date information which is how I know 170F is safe for sterilization

I expect the actual game to be more accurate than the forums or the wiki, so when I find concerns, I stick 'em in the tracker.  Bug 'em all and let the Devs sort 'em out!

In all seriousness though my guess is it's a formula on the change rate that's different between the mechanics and the UI results.  Either way though, it's either horribly confusing or incorrect.
