Wouldn't be as much of a problem if the effect could actually stack (massive growth rate boost, or have the fertilized status last for a month)

Get a duplicant to master the 'Farmer' job and then reassign them, then dig up a bunch of 'fertilizer' deposits so they craft several Micronutrient Fertilizer before using any.
