Dupes are required to go to sleep before getting sick

Exposing dupes to tons of damage, I mean... germs, will not get them sick. But after a "good" night's sleep in a place with a lot of freaky germs...

...or after a narcoleptic nap or waking up after exhaustion due to having a full bladder and other shenanigans...

...they immediately get sick, as if by magic.

WAKE UP DUPES! YOU'RE SICK NOW HAHAHAHA!!! SUFFER, YOU DUPES! SUFFER!!!

Screenshots showing the bug:

Max has been exposed to tens and millions of slimelung germs for quite some time but he's still not sick.

He slept on the floor due to exhaustion. Dupes having good night's rest in a comfy, luxurious bed aren't safe either. No amount of 7-star luxurious morale-boosting goodness will spare any dupe from getting sick.

He woke up and VOILA! He's now infected with slimelung!

This could be an idea for a modded scenario or map where dupes are forced to stay awake. Because if they rest and have a good night's sleep, the germs will get out of incubation period and activate, and they will magically get sick the next day!

Finally, a minor quibble. Double mouth and no sound effects while coughing.

Steps to Reproduce
1 - Place dupes in a room filled with tons and tons of germs relatively close (but not too close) to bedtime. Let them sleep. 2 - The next day, they will magically get sick.

Changed Status to Closed

This is working as designed, duplicants will get sick when they wake up.
