Debug tools - Connections of wires not saved when being copied

If you copy or save&load wires with the debug mode tools ("Base and World Tools") , some of them won't save the connections from the original. This happens to other connectable stuff, too:

  • Conductive wire
  • Heavy conductive wire
  • Transit tube
  • Radiant liquid pipe
  • Radiant gas pipe
  • Conveyor rail

Steps to Reproduce
Load savefile, try to copy or save&load the connectable stuff.
Go to bugs

It would be nice if KLEI would address this issue in one of their updates.  I have created some massively complex bases that utilize all of these items that "lose" their connections when shared.  Fixing this bug would save countless hours of reconnecting lines.  Thank You.
