Critters don't fight back at high game speed

Coolthulhu
  • Branch: Preview Branch Version: Windows Pending

Since critter AI is frame-dependent, it "fires" much less often when the game is under heavy load, such as if there are 15+ dupes in the game. As a result, a 200 hp stone hatch might not be able to get even 10 hp off the dupe trying to kill it.

In late game, pokeshells don't get a chance to strike anything at all except ranchers calling them to station.

Steps to Reproduce
Put game under heavy load and on highest speed, order killing a stone hatch, observe it losing 50+ hp before it realizes what is happening

User Feedback

Interesting. I assumed pokeshells didn`t attack the rancher beacause they were tamed. I need to lower thr game speed to see if they get agressive. Currently 40fps average with x3 speed angry (red) tame pokeshells seem to ingore dupes.
