Crash afteter launching the gane

When I launch the game, I see "Klei" and then the game crashes.Crash info (log is not writing for some reason)

It seems that some old files from the DLC are getting stuck in the install folder. Some things to try:

  • Right-click ONI -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse local files .... go into the OxygenNotIncluded_Data folder and delete StreamingAssets, then Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files
  • Uninstall and reinstall the game through steam
  • Browse to the local files as above, uninstall the game, after uninstall finishes delete any files that are left over in the SteamApps/common/OxygenNotIncluded folder, and then reinstall.

Please be careful when deleting files on your hard drive!

I followed these instructions and now the game launches but Spaced Out is gone. I was part of the closed alpha.Has that ended now?

Nevermind, just found out that the alpha's closed so the DLC was deleted as expected. I just wanted a little longer!

I was having the same problem. Uninstall on steam then delete the local files for oxygen not included in steam>steamapps>common then reinstall. This fixed my startup issue uninstalling and reinstalling wasn't enough.
