Consistency: Differentiating between Atmo, Jet and Exosuit

Since all Exosuits are not Atmo Suits anymore with the advent of Jet Suits, there are currently some inconsistencies in naming left:

  • Exosuit Dock and Exosuit Checkpoint which only carry Atmo Suits so they should be named Atmo Suit Dock and Atmo Suit Checkpoint 
  • The description of the above would also need to be adjusted (Building description menu and status/Codex:  Build next to an Exosuit Checkpoint and Must be built next to an Exosuit Dock -> Build next to an Atmo Suit Checkpoint and Must be built next to an Atmo Suit Dock)
  • Atmo Suit Checkpoint: Building description status/Codex: A checkpoint must have an exosuit dock built on the opposite side its arrow faces-> A checkpoint must have an Atmo Suit Dock built on the opposite side its arrow faces.
  • Exosuit Forges only make Jet Suits? (Building description menu and status/Codex: Forges protective Jet Suits for Duplicants to wear ->Forges protective Exosuits for Duplicants to wear)
  • when hovering over Athletics with a Jet Suit equipped, the penalty is named Atmo Suit -6 -> Exosuit -6
  • Atmo Suit Dock status description: Docks can refill Exosuits -> Docks can refill Atmo Suits (Jet Suit docks say that they can refill Jet Suits)
  • Codex Tutorial: Exosuits I'll need to hook up an Exosuit Dock to a Suit Checkpoint -> I'll need to hook up a Dock to a Checkpoint
  • Other related descriptions I found to be consistent since they mostly cover all kind of Exosuits or must have been written after Jet Suits were made

on a side note, I'd like to ask if the Exosuit Engineer trait is working as intended since like the screenshot says (or tries to), it only adds +2 to Athletics while the penalty is -6 Athletics. That'd make the Job description in return wrong since it says "eliminating the runspeed loss" rather than "mitigating". Also I remember it being +6 before...

Also, why does nothing except hover (over digging) ever say that Exosuits provide +10 digging? Not that you need to answer this but I am curious still.


Steps to Reproduce
It's just some kind of typo or whatever and Camille is just mad at me for using her as guinea pig without any worker benefits (a cot and more fuel to have fun flying around)~

Changed Status to Known Issue

Thanks for collecting so much detail about this!

I'll double check, but I believe that the Exosuit Engineer trait prevents the -6 from applying so that they still walk at normal speed (as seen by the unexpected 'total value' in that screenshot). I'll look into making both that value and the dig speed more clear.

As far as the terminology consistency, we'll take a pass on that as well. :)
